Using your melts

What is a wax melt?
It is scented wax without a wick. You melt it in an electric or tealight wax warmer and it fills your space with fragrance — no flame, no smoke, no soot. When you are done, you turn it off.

How many cubes should I use?
Start with one. Our fragrances are heavily loaded and one cube is usually plenty for a bedroom or bathroom. For a large open living room or kitchen, try two. If a scent feels overwhelming, go down to one cube and ventilate — you can always add more, you cannot take it back.

How many cubes are in a bar?
Every bar breaks into 5 cubes. So a 4-pack is 20 cubes, a 6-pack is 30, and a 12-pack is 60.

How long does one cube last?
Typically 8–12 hours of warming, though it varies with your warmer’s heat, room size, and airflow. The wax does not disappear — it stays in the dish. When the scent fades, that cube is done.

How do I get the old wax out of my warmer?
A few easy ways: turn the warmer on for a minute until the edges loosen, then slide the whole puck out with a paper towel. Or turn it off and let it harden completely, then pop it out with your thumb. Or set a cotton ball in the melted wax and let it soak it up. Never pour wax down a drain.

Can I mix scents?
Yes, and you should. Combining a bakery scent with a woody or fruity one is how you find combinations nobody else has. Just start with one cube of each.

What kind of warmer do I need?
Any electric wax warmer or tealight warmer made for wax melts. Do not melt wax in a pan, on a stove, in a microwave, or over an open flame. Never leave a warming melt unattended, and keep it away from kids, pets, and anything flammable.

Is it safe around pets and kids?
Keep warmers and melts out of reach of both — the wax gets hot and the cubes look like candy. Some fragrance oils can bother animals, especially birds and cats. Ventilate the room, do not warm melts in a closed space with a pet, and talk to your vet if you have concerns.

Are these safe if I am sensitive to fragrance?
Our melts are heavily scented, which is great for most people and too much for some. Fragrance oils can trigger allergies, headaches, or asthma in sensitive people. Start with one cube in a ventilated room, and stop using it if you have any reaction. If you are pregnant, nursing, or asthmatic, check with your doctor.

What is in them

What are they made of?
A para-soy wax blend with phthalate-free fragrance oils. We use the para-soy blend on purpose — it holds and throws fragrance better than straight soy.

Why not 100% soy?
Pure soy is a great candle wax but it is a weaker fragrance carrier in melts. The para-soy blend gives a noticeably stronger scent throw, and that is the whole job of a wax melt.

Are they vegan? Cruelty-free?
Our wax and fragrance oils contain no animal-derived ingredients and we do not test on animals. Individual fragrance oil suppliers set their own certifications, so if this matters a lot to you, email us about a specific scent and we will tell you what we know.

Are they dye-free?
Most of our bars are colored. If you need an uncolored bar for sensitivity reasons, email us — we can usually accommodate it.

There are 49 scents. Where do I start?

How do the Build Your Own bundles work?
Choose your pack size — 4 bars for $13, 6 for $18, or 12 for $34 — add it to your cart, then list the scents you want in the order notes box in your cart. Want two of the same? Just say so, for example “2x Pumpkin Chai”.

What if I do not specify my scents?
We will send you our current seasonal favorites. But we would much rather send what you actually want, so tell us.

Can I get a sample or a smaller size?
Single bars are $3.50, which is the smallest size we make. That is an easy, low-risk way to try one scent before committing to a bundle.

Ordering and shipping

How long until my order ships?
We hand pour and pack within 3–5 business days, then USPS typically takes 2–5 business days to deliver. You will get tracking by email as soon as your label is made.

How much is shipping?
Rates are calculated live at checkout by USPS based on your address and order weight, so you see the exact cost before you pay. No handling fees.

Do you offer local pickup?
Yes — local pickup is available in the Pinehurst and Magnolia area. Choose Local pickup at checkout.

Do you ship outside the US?
Not yet — US only for now.

Can I change or cancel my order?
Email us within 24 hours and we will take care of it, as long as it has not shipped.

My wax arrived soft or fused together. Is it ruined?
No. Wax softens in a hot mailbox and that is expected, especially in a Texas summer. The fragrance is unaffected. Put the bar in the fridge for about 20 minutes and it will firm up and snap apart normally.

My order arrived damaged or wrong.
Email Ghostartzstudio@yahoo.com with your order number and a photo within 7 days of delivery and we will replace it free. See our Refund & Return Policy.

Can I return it if I do not like the scent?
Unfortunately no — because these are scented products used in your home, all sales are final. Scent is personal and we cannot resell a returned bar. We do always make it right if something arrives damaged, missing, or incorrect. If you are new to us, a 4-pack is the low-risk way to start.

Custom work

Do you do custom orders?
Yes. We take custom commissions, personalized pet stickers and buttons, and personalized stickers. Message us with your idea and we will talk it through.

How does the custom process work?
You send your idea and any reference photos, we quote and confirm details, and we usually send a proof before producing. Custom and personalized work is non-refundable and non-cancellable once production starts, so review your proof carefully.

Can you recreate a logo or character?
We cannot reproduce copyrighted or trademarked material — brand logos, licensed characters, and the like. Original work, pets, people, and your own designs are all fair game.
